A shopping excursion with lots of fresh food and a sense of community
- Central Market is a local icon. They have great biscuits and gravy in the morning. Their coffee shop is a nice place to meet up with friends. Their produce is hard to beat unless you buy directly from a local farmer. I love it that they have a garbage can by the sweet corn so you can clean it before you go home. Their bulk food section is hard to beat. I discovered "quinoa" and am a regular now.
Bremerton: The working fabric of Kitsap
- Spanning Bremerton and extending to Bangor and beyond, you will find the influence of the Navy and the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Bremerton has been a city in transition with leadership moving it into the future. Gorgeous downtown waterfront, Anthony's restaurant, new condos and hotels exemplify the changes going on in Bremerton. Lots of charming neighborhoods.
Come to the Island, a gateway to Seattle
- When I first moved here, the Bainbridge Ferry and I became very familiar with one another. I learned how to wear comfortable shoes and navigate public transportation living in Poulsbo and working in Seattle. Bainbridge has it's own charm as having one foot in Kitsap, one in metro-Seattle. A new children's museum is being built there, they have great pumpkin farms and stunning view of Puget Sound
Get to know some people with whom I network and trust to do fair business
- "Giver's Gain" is the motto of our BNI group that meets weekly. We work on learning about each other's business in the meeting and on our own together so we can build up each other's business. Giving to others always has a way of finding it's way back to us.

When you want to relax just a little longer, out and down the Hood Canal
- We love the drive to Alderbrook and the comfy stay once you get there. The outdoor fountain adds a great ambiance to the courtyard experience as you look at the Olympics. We've had many glasses of wine overlooking that scene and slept in because we could.
Where and I and what am I thinking?
- We can follow each other and who knows where we'll end up. I mostly follow sports and politics here just for fun. I love design and color and decorating ideas.
Wildly Organic AND Delivered to Your Front Door
- This is a great business to know. We get enough fruits and veggies to last a week to 10 days. This is a business started by a well-organized and inspired woman with a family of 7 children and a really cool husband who is out there connecting. Their mission is to help people eat well. I appreciate them. THey helped us find a farmer to harvest the hay in our fields. We're Cow-less in Kitsap now.
